(Capsule) Review: Footwear
While we did a brief rundown a little while ago, there was so much going on at the New York (capsule) show that we weren’t able to fit everything in to just one post. PSFK Review: New York (Capsule) Show
While we were unable to catch them in Paris, this week’s New York (Capsule) show proved that good things do come to those who wait. The event, which expanded this year to include a neighborhood wide celebration, pop-up gallery, and furniture by Design Within Reach, was definitely not to be missed. Held in the elegant Angel Orensanz center, the two-day trade show featured the creme of the crop in up-and-coming brands from around the world, with cutting-edge indie menswear designers from France, Denmark, England, and New York in attendance.

It takes alot to make New Yorkers excited about something, but right now the NYC fashion and culture set is buzzing with news of the great events (capsule) New York has planned for next week, coinciding with their upcoming men’s fashion trade show at the Angel Orensanz Center on the Lower East Side.

Wurst Menswear Label Bridges Fashion and Dance Music
Perhaps in an ingenuous ploy to save the record industry, menswear (and record) label Wurst fuses together the best parts of fashion and dance music. The brainchild of NYC nightlife mainstay My Cousin Roy (aka Roy Dank) Wurst was originally conceptualized as a limited edition record label which produced a series of heavily edited versions of obscure disco, punk funk and Chicago house tracks.
