As part of Design Museum London’s Super Contemporary exhibition, Paul Smith designed a playful rabbit trash can, including illuminated ears that light up when trash is thrown in. The rabbit cans will be installed throughout Covent Garden and Holland Park for the next four months in conjunction with the museum’s show, which began yesterday.

Brit Insurance Designs of the Year 2009
Opening last week at the Design Museum in London was their annual review of the most innovative, interesting and forward-looking new work in design of all kinds, from around the world. The exhibition, called the ‘Brit Insurance Designs of the Year’, presents around 100 projects divided into seven categories – architecture, fashion, furniture, graphics, interactive, product and transport.
We’re happy to see the Westminster School (which we covered previously) included in the architecture category. This batch of projects was selected by a group of internationally respected design experts, curators, critics, practitioners, and enthusiasts. Awards will be announced next week. The [...]
