Early this morning JPG Magazine members got an encouraging bit of news from the editor of the user-generated magazine. While we recently reported that JPG Magazine would be shutting down, it looks as if the outpouring of grief and support proved to potential buyers that JPG would be a worthy investment. The announcement of JPG’s situation led to a bidding war that has apparently worked in the magazine’s favor, but we’ll wait and see if the new owners alter the community-based format. JPG Magazine Bids Farewell
For all the members and fans of JPG Magazine, the morning after New Years came with the unhappy news that the magazine would be closing its doors. JPG Magazine is the product of a vibrant and intimate community of almost 200,000 photographers who have built the magazine over the past two years. Be sure to catch all the PDFs of back issues in their archives and try to get as much out of this innovative attempt before it shuts down.
