The designers over at Lacoste must be pretty busy these days, seeing as how they’ve been cranking out some great brand innovations as of late. Up next? The Lacoste Stealth Collection will be introducing a series of sneakers with a  “Back To The Future” inspired theme, which will tie in to it’s futuristic strategic trend line for their Autumn/Winter ‘09 Collection. Did you ever wonder what kind of head covering Kanye West would wear on a nice bike ride in the country? Well, if you had, it would probably look something like industrial designer Kyle J. Ferguson’s new collaboration with Lacoste on an eco-conscious bike helmet. The helmet, which is made from sustainable materials (but spares none of Lacoste’s lux-preppy trademark look) is comprised of organic wool, thermoformed bio-plastic, low-density cork and soy-based foam.

The anticipated collaboration between architect Zaha Hadid and sportswear brand Lacoste has finally taken shape, and it doesn’t disappoint. The shoes, rubberized structures that wrap around the leg (angle high for men and calf high for women) are as conceptual and beautiful as Hadid’s architectural creations themselves.
