Hand Drawn QR Code for Marc Jacobs
The QR code, used to store and decode small bits of data via printed symbol, received an artistic rendering by SET as part of its campaign for Marc by Marc Jacobs. The QR patterns—usually a stark, blocky, black and white pattern—are here re-imagined in a sketchy and stylish fashion, accompanying the label’s Miss Marc mascot. The new code will be part of a website available only to Japanese mobile devices.

Sober Spring Fashion
With it’s official start early last week, many the world over are wondering when we’ll actually start to see the colors of spring not just in nature, but also in stores and on sidewalks. This past winter’s fashion was heavy on Victorian and gothic influences with designers like Rick Owens and Anna Demeulemeester boasting rich velvets, high collars, lace, and plenty of black. NY Fashion Week Men’s Roundup
Valet Mag has a nice visual spread of the best men’s collections from the recently wrapped up New York Fashion Week. Most notable trend seems to be the lack of consistency between one show and the next, with style trends hardly discernable.
Marc Jacobs played it retro with quirky additions and something of a hip hop vibe.
Rag and Bone went simple and clean in shades of black and grey.
And Ducky Brown seemed uncharacteristically deconstructed, more like something you’d see from Comme des Garcons.
