The Tesla online reveal of the prototype Model S EV sedan got a lot of attention earlier this year. The company has been working away on developing the car but still no set sale date has been targeted. But to show progress, new images of the forthcoming four door have been released.

Plaza Hotel in NYC to Become a Temporary Tesla Showroom
Treehugger reports that electric car maker Tesla Motors will have one of their new Model S cars on display April 30th and May 1st at the Plaza Hotel in NYC. A company representative will also be on hand both days to answer questions about the car and take reservations.
Tesla founder and CEO, Elon Musk will also appear on David Letterman Wednesday night and he will be bringing the car to the studio.
The NY promotional blitz is part of Tesla’s effort to introduce the new model and to consumers. Tesla has used media creatively in the past to build brand exposure. [...]

Tesla Model S: World’s First Mass-Produced, Highway-Capable EV
Images of the partially uncovered Model S have been circulating for some time. Today, Tesla finally unveiled its first ground up production vehicle. The Model S will sell for an anticipated $49,900, up to 300-mile range and a 45-minute QuickCharge capability.
The standard Model S does 0-60 mph in under six seconds and will have an electronically limited top speed of 130 mph, with sport versions expected to achieve 0-60 mph acceleration well below five seconds.
