Lego and Muji recently released a collaborative toy project in Japan that cleverly merges the personality of each brand.

Whotells offers one and two bedroom apartments that are fully decked out in the latest offerings by MUJI.

Muji art director Kenya Hara, who says he doesn’t design things, but rather happiness, talks about the concept of emptiness.

After successively opening 4 stores throughout NYC (in Soho, Times Square, Chelsea, and the most recent one inside the updated Jetblue terminal at JFK), MUJI has opened the doors of its new online store, making its sleek, minimalist Japanese design available to everyone in the US. (Probably a better idea than opening a flagship store in a Des Moines Mall right now…)

Wallpaper Magazine points us to an exhibition in London of the winners of Muji’s Design Awards. Chosen designs that used the theme ‘found’ include nail hooks, straw-straws and a precise stapler. Simple but effective designs.
