(Pics) 20 Block Love Letter Continues to Grow
We reported on Steve Powers’ ambitious Love Letter project last month, and it looks like they’ve been busy down in Philadelphia. Below is a gallery of the beautiful murals that have gone up so far.
Some details on the endeavor:
Love Letter is literally a love letter painted on the walls facing the Market elevated train. 40 local and international artists will paint the walls in august and the letter will be on view for one and all starting as early as Labor Day

Massive Love Letter Mural Will Span 20 Blocks
Steve Powers, along with The Mural Arts Program will be producing a massive “love letter” that spans 50 walls and rooftops along a 20 block stretch of West Philadelphia.
The Art Collectors report:
The letter is meant for one with meaning for all, and in a larger sense, will be for West Philly from West Philly.” The outdoor installation is being realized with the help of local residents who are being taught the art of sign painting at a temporary school set up by Powers. To complement Love Letter a short film is being produced by Ghost Robot

48 Hour Film People
New York sees the 48 Hour Film Project come to town this weekend. Budding film makers get 2 days to make a film to compete with other entries from cities like London and Philadelphia.
