The Last Production Polaroid Camera Kit
After Polaroid announced it was stopping production on the iconic camera technology, avid fans have struggled with the news, making fake Polaroid apps popular and even going so far as to create The Impossible Project to purchase all remaining film production material in a Dutch factory. Now, after Polaroid moved on to digital versions, Urban Outfitters will soon sell a limited edition kit include the last production run of Type 779 instant film and Polaroid ONE600 cameras.
Only 700 sets will be sold and hopefully the Impossible Project can get the production of film up and running by next year so [...]

Grant Hamilton’s Abstract Polaroids
Daily Tonic points us to this colorful series of polaroid photographs that Grant Hamilton has taken. Since buying a camera in the last years of the Polaroid existence he has been taking close ups of geometric lines of color whenever he stumbles upon them. He told DT:

The Impossible Project: Saving Polaroid Film
The legacy of Polaroid isn’t dead yet. An Austrian artist, businessman and Polaroid obsessive name Florian Kaps has swooped in to save the day.
Last February when Polaroid announced they would stop making the iconic film, enthusiasts of the instant cameras were distraught at what seemed like the end of an era. But Kaps has devised a plan to re-open the currently dormant Polaroid factory in Amsterdam and begin manufacturing film again. Kaps is also the founder of Polanoid.net, (the biggest Polaroid gallery on the web) and Polanoir, the first ever Polaroid-only art gallery in Vienna.

Polaroid Unveils Instant-Print Digital Camera
The Polaroid Corporation, best known for their instant film camera from the 1970s which they recently discontinued, has updated their product for the digital age. The new PoGo, unveiled at the recent CES conference, is a new digital camera that will print a full color 2 x 3 inch photograph in under 60 seconds directly from the camera body. We wrote about this when it was announced, but it looks like Polaroid is finally putting it into production.
