We first wrote about Puma City in December, and the winner of the 2009 Travel + Leisure Design Award for Best Retail space lived up to our expectations. Puma City: World’s First Large Scale Mobile Building
Create an 11,000 square foot building that contains a retail store, lounge, event space, and offices. And by the way, the building needs to be assembled and disassembled a number of times at different harbor sites around the world over the span of a year. That’s the challenge that NYC based architects LOT-EK faced when they began work on the Puma City project. The building is traveling around the world with the 70-foot long Puma sailing boat – il Mostro – which is competing in the 2008 Volvo Ocean Race.

A Peak at the Puma Glow Rider
Puma’s newest two-wheel offering (set for release this Spring) is a street bike with all the fixings – and it’s glow-in-the-dark, too. The single-gear bicycle, named the Puma Glow Rider, is manufactured by Biomega and will come in two shades, cream (which becomes green in the dark) and dark orange (which turns golden). Site Visit: Puma On 14th, NYC
IF decided to pop along and see the new Puma concept store on West 14th in New York’s "trendy" Meat Packing. Dedicated to a sports-fashion fusion sort of approach, the new store has been launched by Puma to:
"act as a laboratory or incubator for the brand to experiment with new ideas and infuse the PUMA personality with the design sensibility of experts from various industries."
