Gill Linton: Fast Fashion is For Losers

Gill Linton: Fast Fashion is For Losers

Apart from a few things from American Apparel and Uniqlo, oh and a knock-off Balenciaga riding hat from H&M, on the whole, there is a lot to lose from fast fashion.

Vintage Quality Levi’s Returning To Stores

Vintage Quality Levi's Returning To Stores

I don’t think it’s a stretch of the imagination to say that vintage Levi’s are the stuff fashion dreams are made of. The iconic brand ( which is so internationally popular that during the heyday of communism, a pair could trade for about anything you could want in Eastern Europe) has been on the behinds of everyone from movie stars like Marilyn Monroe and James Dean to former and current US Presidents.

There’s no doubt the buttons are wonderful looking, and the nerd chic aesthetic has its charms, but we would advise waiting for the price to drop a bit before replacing the iPhone’s already more than adequate built-in calculator.

The Impossible Project: Saving Polaroid Film

The Impossible Project: Saving Polaroid Film

The legacy of Polaroid isn’t dead yet. An Austrian artist, businessman and Polaroid obsessive name Florian Kaps has swooped in to save the day.
Last February when Polaroid announced they would stop making the iconic film, enthusiasts of the instant cameras were distraught at what seemed like the end of an era. But Kaps has devised a plan to re-open the currently dormant Polaroid factory in Amsterdam and begin manufacturing film again. Kaps is also the founder of Polanoid.net, (the biggest Polaroid gallery on the web) and Polanoir, the first ever Polaroid-only art gallery in Vienna.
The Independent reports:
Now he plans to [...]
