Mercedes-Benz has recently announced plans to go ahead with the electric-drive SLS Gullwing. If this car makes it to final production, it will join cars like the much talked about Tesla Roadster in the electric sportscar category. What is interesting about both of these vehicles is the strong design element. Volvo Dealer Offers Choice of Loaner Bicycle or Car
Staff at Clive Brook Volvo in Yorkshire, England, noticed a number of customers bringing bicycles with them when they dropped their cars off for service instead of choosing the complimentary loan cars. The dealership decided to start a program offering customers a choice of a loaner bicycle or a loaner car when they drop off their Volvo for service.
The dealership hopes that offering bicycles will motivate customers to think about green transportation and getting some fresh air and exercise. But the program could also translate to some cost savings for reduced maintenance on the loaner fleet and lower insurance costs.
