Weclome to BugMeNot.com – a site that has been providing logins and passwords to subscriber-only sites since last summer. The owners say that, "Website passwords are annoying and counter to the spirit of the net." They now offer login details to over 51,000 sites including the New York Times.

Maybe it's a sign that we're all a little tired of giving out our personal information to receive, quite frankly, zero in return: no personalisation, no custom delivery and lots of spam. Hopefully, it could see the start of a trend where site owners have to justify why they're gathering personal information to provide their (normally advertisier-sponsored) content.
