"I started making art with barcodes right before Y2K, inspired by the year 2000 computer bug, and threatening digital apacolypse. I was experimenting in Photoshop by recreating photos with a bunch of circles. After dots I tried squares – then a cluster of lines. Before I knew it, I was staring at a bunch of bar codes. Jesus was the first face I applied my digital halftone to."
