An article in the Scotsman interviews Hamish Pringle, director-general of the UK’s Institute of Practitioners in Advertising, after a TV show voted a tune used in a Coke ad the favorite song ever used in an ad. Pringle was not surprised that the track (I’d Like To Teach The World To Sing By The New Seekers) was voted the favorite as, he says, it captured the mood of the time, and has stuck in people’s minds ever since.
