According to an article in AdAge, Luxury brands are relying on themselves when it comes to business. Luxury brands like Coach, Polo Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne are frustrated with competing with their own distributers: the department stores. Unable to control the pricing and brand display, more and more luxury brands are opting out of doing busines with department stores.
