How much do you think you are going to spend on concerts, CDs and records in your lifetime?

According to the results of a new survey the average person spends £21,000, although a ‘music enthusiast' will spend double that amount.  Other figures from the report include:

£891 worth of equipment to play music; £425 a year on CDs, gigs and mags; 7 out of 10 go to a musical event every year;

Director of marketing Roger Ramsden for insurer Prudential, who commissioned the survey, said: "Most people would describe themselves as a music fan of some sort or another, but what is really amazing is just how much money people find themselves spending on it."
