Don't Come Knocking tells the story of washed-up Western actor Howard Spence as he tries to flee his existance, causing emotional and physical destruction to anything and anyone in his path. The American Museum of the Moving Image invited PSFK to a special screening of this film last night where Wim Wenders told an audience about how Edward Hopper inspired the feel of the movie that set in a dying Mid-West town. It stars Jessica Lange and also Sam Shephard who co-wrote the screenplay with Wim Wenders. Also stars a superb Tim Roth who made Sheppard write new scenes on set just so Roth could act with Lange and Eva Marie Saint.
