Doom mongers do not deter the determined – PFSK realised this when speaking to retail-weary FCUK last week. To recap on recent events – after FCUK released their annual reports British media descended like vultures on the UK based retailer. Not a pretty sight. It’s commonly understood that FCUK are not on their own in the topsy-turvy world of retail – in their defence a company spokesperson says: “Our situation is not unique in retail… We’ve had some excellent feedback from this season’s collection and French Connection have been working to make our mark.” And with the new feisty Fashion ‘v’ Style campaign underway, fighting talk is certainly on the label’s agenda.
