Sending ads on your RSS feed is spam. It's another news headline one has to go through and register-ignore/delete just like one would have to do with email spam. Marketing fellow Dan VanDen Heuvel thinks its a good idea though and sends an ad in RSS every other RSS feed. We think it's pants.

Don’t get us wrong – we don’t mind a banner ad in an RSS feed of an article we’re persuing – it’s just that in these days where RSS is as IMPORTANT to the way we work as EMAIL, an ad as an RSS headline is wasting our time, obtrusive and a poor way to find financial support for your blog/site.
