Until recently London's sub-cultural art party ‘Kashpoint' has been a well-kept secret. Opening up the public sphere, Fleur Britten reports Kashpoint to be the epicentre of future fashion.

But it's not just the club kids that look to the future;  UK designers such as Gareth Pugh, Basso and Brooke plus Cassette Playa all play parts in a departure from vintage to sci-fi style. Even pop icons Boy George and Adamski are filled with futuristic optimism.

It seems a "new era" is dawning – or is this a future vision?
