A new book by active veteran designer, Massimo Vignelli, aims to educate designers to stop following trends in order to achieve good design. The book “Design Is One” is a review of Vignelli’s 50 years of work but, the Independent reports, the book is aimed to suggest that two things: Firstly, that a creative designer should be able to design everything – from a building to a spoon; and secondly, to achieve timelessness for their creations, designers must always eschew trends of the moment.
