Sir Terry Leahy, the chief executive of Tesco, the UK's largest retailer, has invested millions of pounds of his own money in a resort of environmentally friendly luxury villas on the island of Phuket off the coast of southern Thailand, the Daily Telegraph reports..Leahy said he was a "major investor" in the West Sands development on Phuket's Mai Khao beach.

Sir Terry Leahy, the chief executive of Tesco, the UK’s largest retailer, has invested millions of pounds of his own money in a resort of environmentally friendly luxury villas on the island of Phuket off the coast of southern Thailand, the Daily Telegraph reports..

Leahy said he was a “major investor” in the West Sands development on Phuket’s Mai Khao beach. The resort, which has yet to be built, will comprise 350 luxury apartments along a 500 metre stretch of beach.
