Here on IF! we’ve spoken to David Gensler of the KDU and the man behind the Royal magazinebefore. Well now he’s back with a relaunch and a desire to take the KDU to the next level.

PSFK’s Black Marmalade managed to pin the great man down and talked mash-up, fashion and consulting:

“I think a lot more pure design and simplicity will dominate. next year will become more tonal and less about all over prints and cartoons and biting style. I think brands like Acronym and Goldspun will grow in popularity. But the brands that originally pushed things will be able to continue to exploit bright colors and designs… Leroy Jenkins and Artful Dodger did it right the first time, so they will probably keep shining. Originality always rises to the top, eventually.”
