Cynics could just say this is a marketing effort at Starbucks but a PSFK tipster who works at a record company told us:

"When you deal with BestBuy, they don't care about the product. Just the sales. When you deal with Starbucks, the people there are so into the music. They love what they do. When I approach them for a possible collaboration project, they want to do the A&R too(!) – I have trouble fighting them off!"
