A new project from Penguin uses a wiki platform for a communal novel writing exercise.

Penguin seem to be one of the most progressive book publishing companies we know when it comes to using the web. We've featured Penguin several times on these pages. Today, Jeremy Ettinghausen from Penguin dropped us a line about a new project Penguin are doing where they're using a wiki platform for a communal novel writing exercise.

I thought you might be interested in an experiment we're running from Penguin UK – a collaborative creative writing exercise using a wiki. Anyone can write, anyone can edit and we'll be providing a running editorial commentary on an accompanying blog. We're not sure how this will turn out, but hope that it will be interesting and fun for anyone participating (or just reading).
