A range presented at the New York Fashion Week suggests that Diesel are going to push for a new style of denim: the wet look. A report by the Telegraph's fashion director says:

Skin-tight, gleaming with metallic threads and steel yarn and with a distinctly 1980s twist – this was denim for the 21st century, as envisaged by Diesel, the funky jeans brand, at New York Fashion Week… Jeans were moulded to the skin in stretch denim, coated with gold, and ruched and wrinkled around the tops of metallic ankle boots.
