P.S.1 and the Museum of Modern Art have named five finalists for the eighth annual Young Architects Program.  The finalists will be given a small stipend to produce design concepts for the pavilion that will be installed in P.S.1’s courtyard for the Warm-Up series, one of New York’s most anticipated  summer events, featuring world class DJs every Saturday.

Curators from both museums selected the finalists from a field of 35 who had been recommended by architects, editors, curators, and other leading figures from the design professions.  P.S.1 and MoMA curators will name a winner on March 23. The pavilion’s construction budget is roughly $70,000.
