The London Paper reports that Stella McCartney has banned super-skinny models from her catwalk show tomorrow, prefering to showcase her designs on a more natural and healthy frame. Accepting only models that are a UK size 10 or 12 (US size 6 or 8), Stella apparently sent two girls home from the show's casting session for being too thin. Good to see a designer finally stepping in and doing something about the issue rather than waiting for the fashion councils to dictate a solution, and well done to Stella for recognising the power of the positive publicity that this will bring her- i'll bet her sales increase when women see that the clothes can look just as good on them as on the models.
