Pregnant and impatient to paint the nursery baby-boy blue or girly-pink months before you give birth?  Simply mail a pinprick of your blood to DNA Worldwide, they’ll analyze your DNA for the babys chromosome, and send you the sex-result – a full 14 weeks before hospitals typically test the sex of your child. However, the test has been argued whether it will provoke more abortions all because the sex of the unborn child wasn’t what the parents desired:

Michaela Aston of the pro-life charity LIFE said: "This test is very dangerous. It would inevitably lead to babies being aborted simply for not being the ‘required’ sex." She rejected the notion that the test would allow parents more time to plan for their baby’s arrival, arguing that the needs of baby boys and girls were identical.
