Madison Avenue is set to lend its talents to the creation of a new Brooklyn-based high school dedicated to advertising and media education. Expected to open its doors in September 2008, organizers said the intent is to foster a relationship between minority youth and the ad industry, allowing students to explore careers in advertising and media while helping to promote diversity in the industry.

Kick-off to Advertising Week Top ad-industry brass this morning piled onto a yellow school bus to downtown Brooklyn to meet dozens of local high-school students for the announcement, part of the kick-off to Advertising Week 2007.
