Walking into a dreary office is probably the last thing you want to do on a cold Monday morning (yeah we know it’s Tuesday, but it sure don’t feel like it). PSFK’s put some effort into creating a fun, inspiring work atmosphere, but most don’t, spending the majority of their waking hours in spaces that aren’t just boring but that actually stifle imaginative thinking. Smashing Magazine highlights some creative alternatives to the boring work space, from The Milk Desk (top picture), a sleek Apple-esque desk design with white surfaces and smooth rounded edges, to Pixar’s design-it-yourself work “sheds” (bottom picture).
