Pecha Kucha in Print
We've talked about Pecha Kucha before – the part-lecture, part-party series that takes place in cities across the world featuring artists, designers, and other creatives presenting 20 slides/images powerpoint style, with only 20 seconds allotted for each. Now available online is a slice of the the Pecha Kucha live experience: Pecha Kucha Night: A Celebration, a book featuring highlights from the 3,000-plus presentations that have taken place all over the world.
The founder of PingMag edited the compilation, and included are presentations by graphic designers Namaiki, Japanese architect Toyo Ito, Astrid Klein (the founder of Pecha Kucha), type designer Odod Ezer, and designer Sebastian Conran, among others. The text accompanying the images is in English and Japanese. You can purchase it here.
