Londonist reports that the curators at rather wonderful Tate Modern have made the tragic decision that the world hasn’t got enough of street art and are celebrating the genre a few years too late by allowing big names like Os Gemeos and Faile to paint up a 15×12 metre areas on the north side of the old power station building.

We’re sure some of you think this is going to be a great idea but we can’t think of somewhere we’d rather not see street art than a blessed brick wall at one of the world’s leading art museums. The whole thing has moved on and this feels like a retrospective rather than any celebration.
