What do you do if your partner loves orange furniture and you hate it? Design a chair with colors that can change in an instant: When designers Nelson Ruiz-Acal and Cate Hogdahl moved in together they couldn’t agree on how to decorate their apartment. As industrial designers they had different taste, especially when it came to color, they told PSFK on their stand at the ICFF 08. It’s this friction that inspired the couple to design the Oz chair – a chair with several different felt leaves to create up to 30 different color combinations – and create something they both love – when the other one is not in the room, that’s all.
