We caught the eco-conscious Bamba chair at the Brooklyn Design fair recently and it caught our eye as it's an interesting example of how eco-consciousness can make a better product for us and the plaent. It comes in bamboo plywood or palm plywood and 100% aluminum which can be simply recycled. The cushion is natural talalay latex and the upholstery is natural and biodegrade. What's fascinating is that the seat, back and arms are cut from the sides that support the chair and just snap together. The makers, EcoSystems, says that this approach nearly eliminates production waste for the structure of the chair and minimizing both the material needed and the size of the package for shipping.
