Yves Rossy made his way into the record books on Friday when he flew his Jet Wing across the English Channel.  The French daredevil jumped from 8,200 feet over the French town of Calais, to make the 13 minute flight across the Channel.

Weighing around 121 pounds, Rossy’s Jet Wing is controlled by his movements, rather than a steering mechanism.  Made from a carbon composite the wings use jet turbines for extra thrust.  You can see footage of Rossy’s flight here.
