Stitsh.com Brings E-Commerce to Fashion Blogging
Several years ago The Sartorialist pioneered a new trend in blogging, bringing local street style to the desktops of millions worldwide. Since then, the street-style blog phenomenon has exploded, inspiring a thousand versions of the original, each a little different and with its own merits. There are the city-specific streetwear blogs, the high-fashion photo blogs, the user-generated versions…
Now, there’s Stitsh.com, which adds a much-needed element to the mix: e-commerce. Stitsh posts pics from the streets of London and links directly to product pages for each of the items their subjects are wearing. Where street style blogging has always been, “see it, like it, use it as inspiration,” the Stitsh model is, “see it, like it, use it as inspiration OR buy it right then and there.” Seems like a no-brainer.
Stitsh also provides weekly style advice. This week’s is Smart Trousers: “The style for men the last couple of years has been rather scruffy on the whole, but we’re seeing a new smarter look on the streets at the moment..”
To move beyond novelty activations and one-time gimmicks, PSFK equips marketers with the insights, templates and analytics to develop high-reach campaigns that meet consumers in the moment, collect and build upon experiential data, and build scale through content creation.
At PSFK 2017, Peloton Co-Founder and COO Tom Cortese discussed how the company aims to utilize the power of Web 2.0 to marry the comfort of home fitness to the high-energy engagement of celebrity-run classes.
