NOCC's Help Me Darwin project applies Darwin's theory of evolution to furniture design. The Paris-based design studio developed the ‘Mutant cardboard furniture kit' for habitat emergencies.  NOCC explains:

From the cardboard in the bag you build a folding screen from which you can create a bed, then a table and then 3 stools. This way you can easily adapt to empty habitat spaces when facing an emergency (due to natural catastrophes or just when you move-out). The carry-on bag unfolds in order to become the bed’s mattress.
