Although the San Francisco Bay Area is notorious for being an unfriendly, ticket-ridden battleground for drivers seeking out parking, the simple online service is attempting to break this stereotype. It provides an exchange for people, organizations and businesses who wish to rent out parking spaces (or driveways) for a small fee, and a place for drivers who wish to find parking for their car. They currently have up to 10,000 spaces available in the Bay Area.

Enter an address and the length of time you need to park on the main page (shown above), and GottaPark will pull up the number of the nearest available spaces, a short description of each area, and the prices.

The company’s mission is to reduce parking congestion and to simplify the task of finding parking- and while that may be a lofty goal given the size and layout of the Bay Area, it’s surely a relieving option for those who spend each day hunting for a precious chunk of temporary real estate for their automobile.
