Digital artist Borna Sammak took over a Best Buy in New York City last night for a two hour solo show of his digital paintings. Sammak's work uses banal, random source footage that's been chopped up and processed into vibrant collages of color which are designed to be viewed on hi-definition screens. Though the show was sanctioned by the store, it reflected ideas of appropriation that are inherent in Sammak's work.
