Transfer Digital Data Just by Touching Hands

Electric Field Communication uses the human body to transfer data between two devices.

The Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies (CEATEC) is currently underway in Japan and, as you can imagine, the technologies are advanced. One of the concepts that caught our eye was Electric Field Communication. The idea — is to use the human body to transfer data between two devices. The example on display at CEATEC allowed a person to select an image from a pre-programmed mobile phone, place his hang against a computer panel, and witness the image immediately displayed on a screen (see video below).
