In an era when greater megapixels and thinner hardware seem to mean less and less for consumers, it’s interesting to see ideas like this one from Japanese design firm superheadz which offers to satisfy other emerging consumer interests such as craft. The Plamodel is a snap together kit that allows “even the not-so-mechanically inclined” to assemble their own 35mm camera. It is available in either regular packaging (surprise color stick-on color panels with black camera) or a custom Moriyama special edition “cow” model.
