In an attempt to disprove the “unfriendly New Yorker” myth, comedian/filmmaker Mark Malkoff is organizing and filming a social experiment that will take him the through the complete length of Manhattan, carried by strangers the entire way.

Spanning the distance from the Staten Island Ferry to the Manhattan bridge at 220th & Broadway, Malkoff expects the trip to take a day and a half. From Malkoff:

I desperately NEED everyone’s help. Please spread the word to your friends in NYC and tell them to carry me! Individuals can carry me two feet or two blocks. I’ll take anything. Luckily I only weigh 130 pounds. For people that can’t carry me by themselves, please bring your friends and you can all carry me together.
