Inspired by the crude palm leaf based plates he observed being made in India, Michael Dwork started VerTerra Dinnerware, a line of compostable plates, bowls and serving dishes. The company’s eco-friendly products have taken off, and can be found in many Whole Foods locations, and will be used to serve food at the 2010 Winter Olympics.
