Berlinomat is bringing curated design to public spaces in an innovative new vending machine.

Design store Berlinomat are taking a unique approach to extending their retail sales. They partnered with the store design firm Coordination to create the Design Automat vending machine that will be placed in transportation hubs like train stations and airports. The unit stocks 42 curated products designed in Berlin ranging from clothing accessories to travel essentials. A touchscreen display facilitates interactive browsing and purchasing.

This first prototype unit debuted last week in the Berlin Hauptbahnhof train station. Two more will be installed soon at the Tegal airport and Galeries Lafayette in France. Future plans include an international rollout.
