Flyfire is a development of MIT's SENSEable City Laboratory, aimed at building interactive displays through the use of self-organizing microhelicopters. Each one of hundreds of microhelicopters acts as an individual pixel, each synchronizing its individual movements with the collective display. The result is a three-dimensional, free-form and fluid display.
