The Bionic Humidifier is a digital humidifier which incorporates a synthetic plant that reacts to watering  just like a real plant would. When the device has been properly watered, the plant stands upright and provides humidified air, but when the user has neglected it the device fails to function, indicated by a plant that has stooped over. By adding simple elements of emotional design, creator Gonglue Jiang‘s humidifier taps into the rewards of nurturing a real plant, adding a layer of motivation to engage user behavior.
