Bookmarking service Instapaper has announced their app for the iPad that allows readers to convert the waterfall of RSS/Twitter information into a manageable, streamlined chunk of long-form content.

The service is a tool for users to save webpages they intend to read later. Once saved, articles are stripped of their design and presented in plain text, eliminating distractions and enabling offline reading.

The creator, Marco Arment, made the app with the intention to “facilitate attentive reading of content…as opposed to skimming.”
