Luzinterruptus, a Spanish based light artists group, has installed transparent containers containing leaves and the branches of trees, lit with green LEDs to portray vertical gardens on the walls in Madrid’s buildings. Through their design, the artists want to spread the message of preservation of green spaces in urban areas. The group says that packaged containers with green lights would convey their message much better than a traditional vertical garden which is too expensive and inaccessible.
